The COVID-19 crisis has proven that we aren’t just a business with a great company culture but a family. Hilti has holistically reevaluated and adjusted measures to protect our global team members and their families during these unprecedented times. By improving our approach to hybrid working and flexible working arrangements, we have adapted to meet the needs of our business and the organization. We have significantly increased our global support for mental health and guidance on organizing a home office, childcare and other challenges. Our team members globally and their well-being are our focus. We have set up a virtual series of programs, including “Care and Perform During Challenging Times,” which deals intensively with the challenges and burdens of remote working, and “Leadership During Challenging Times” which supports team leaders.

“Coming together, as a team, for direct and compassionate support of colleagues in need around the world shows the wonderful community spirit we have at Hilti,” says Sabine Krauss, Head of Global Human Resources. “Our caring company culture and our global team are what make our company a truly great place to work.” At the height of the crisis, Hilti set up an internal fund to provide financial support for Hilti colleagues who have been hit particularly hard. Employees at our corporate headquarters and affiliated organizations participated in the solidarity program, converting five percent of their salary into additional days off; Hilti then matched the total contribution. The funds continue to be actively distributed, both to individuals and their families facing emergency health situations due to COVID-19 and to team members in organizations located in countries without government support programs, social security or healthcare systems.

Everyone always talks about the, “Sunday scaries,” and I truly can’t relate; I’m excited to come into work. I’m ready to go. I’m energized. I’m pumped up to be around my team, whether that’s at the Hilti Center, or in virtual training with other Hilti family members all across the country, and more.
I’m ALWAYS excited to wake up on Monday mornings, put this red jacket on, and do my best. Not even just Mondays, or “when I feel like it,” but DAILY.??
