At Hilti, our passionate and inclusive teams are the foundation of our success. All our 34,000 team members across 120 countries embody our caring and performance-oriented culture.

A New World of Opportunity

Three years ago, Hannah Bevington joined Hilti as an Account Manager, stepping into the world of construction. Having previously sold beauty products, Hannah faced a steep learning curve, discovering new products, technical terms, and construction-site needs. She learned about new tools and explored the challenges of the construction industry.

“In the beginning, I doubted myself,” Hannah recalls. “Then I quickly realized that I could thrive well in Hilti’s caring and performance-oriented culture.”

With the help of her team, she grew into her role. Her colleagues provided guidance and became mentors, sharing their expertise while encouraging her to succeed. Their support was critical to her confidence and growth.

Growing Through Challenges

At Hilti, challenges are opportunities for growth. For Hannah, stepping into a completely new industry – construction – was not easy. Yet, with persistence, curiosity, and team support, she nailed it. Hannah embraced this mindset at work and in her personal life – and she began running.

“I used to say, ‘I can’t run,’” she shares. “But at Hilti, I learned that if you approach something with an open mind, you can achieve more than you think. After twelve weeks of training, I joined and finished the Warwick to Kenilworth Castle run. To me that was more than running – I proved to myself that I can do the hard things.”

Recognized as a Great Place to Work

Since 2010, Hilti has been part of the Great Place to Work® certification program, consistently ranking among the world’s top employers. As of 2024, we have Great Place to Work® certifications in over 40 countries, ranking #3 in Europe, #4 in Asia, #13 in Latin America and #5 in the World’s Best Workplaces list.

Many of Hilti’s team members build their careers internationally, bringing in their experiences and diverse perspectives to their teams. Daniella Gateka, a Finance Business Partner in South Africa, has worked in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. She is fluent in five languages and balances her roles as a mother and a team leader. “Wherever you go at Hilti, the core values are the same,” Daniella says. “This consistency helps me adapt and thrive while remaining curious about local cultures.”

Prioritizing Mental Well-Being

At Hilti, mental health is as important as physical health. Since 2003, all team members have attended Team Camps – workshops focused on company culture, team building, and personal growth.

Magnus Kits, a team leader in Sweden, balances work and fatherhood while leading Hilti’s OwnIt! group for mental health. These employee-led groups work on important topics such as stress management and emotional health. “The Team Camp taught us how to manage stress and build resilience,” Magnus shares. “We left with personal plans and a stronger sense of purpose.”

Making an Impact Beyond Work

Hilti team members contribute to global communities through Engaged Beyond Business (EBB) initiatives. For Magnus, a highlight was participating in a project in Cambodia that turned landfill waste into a sustainable business, improving local livelihoods and protecting the environment. “This experience demanded my leadership skills and showed the power of teamwork,” Magnus says.

A Caring and Performance-Oriented Culture

At Hilti, success is about more than results – it’s about how we get there together. Our passionate and inclusive teams work hard to support each other and grow along the way. Whether it’s overcoming challenges, learning new skills, or making a difference in our communities, we’re proud of the culture we have built. As we move forward, we’ll keep creating an environment where everyone thrives, grows as an individual, and achieves more – together.

We have a caring and performance-oriented culture. This is not a contradiction, but it is a great combination. It’s what has kept many of us with this great company for over 10, 15, 20 years and sometimes even our entire careers.
